HR Consulting Services 

Rotz and Stonesifer can assist your organization with the following Human Resources consulting services:  

  • Outsourcing of HR Services: There are many small-to-medium sized businesses in need of professional HR support. One of our specialties is to assist businesses and serve as their HR department.  We do this by coming on-site for an agreed upon number of hours per week or month and provide full HR support depending on your needs.  We can provide a variety of HR services or work on a project basis depending on your needs.
  • Handbook Development & UpdatesRotz & Stonesifer will meet with you to determine your key policies and procedures and help develop or update your organization's employee handbook.  In addition, we will make suggestions based on many years of experience and benchmarked data that should assist in this very important HR document. See section on handbooks for more details.
  •  HR Audits and Assessments:  Rotz & Stonesifer has a very thorough HR & Safety Audit and Assessment that can determine where your organization stands in relation to Federal and State laws.  For organizations that know they need HR help, but are not sure where to start--this is the tool that would help determine initial priorities.  You will receive a detailed report on the findings.
  • Regulatory Compliance:  Rotz & Stonesifer can assist your organization with complying with tricky federal and state employment, pay, discrimination, safety, and labor laws.  A HR Audit and Assessment would be a good starting point for this (see above).  We can assist your organization in developing the correct policies and HR practices to comply with all regulations/guidelines including the Family Medical Leave, Military Leave requirements, OSHA regulations, Fair Labor Standards Act (pay and overtime), ADA, HIPPA, & EEO guidelines.
  • Development of HR Best Practices:  Rotz & Stonesifer can help your organization implement "Best Practices" for Human Resources.  Such processes could include your recruitment/hiring processes; training and development processes; compensation processes; discipline investigation processes; HR administrative processes like attendance tracking, FMLA tracking, COBRA administration, payroll administration practices.
  • Compensation Program Development:  We have the capabilities to help you design an entire compensation system and/or assist you with developing/implementing different pay systems including sound competitive base pay systems, merit pay programs, variable pay plans for Managers/Sales employees/General Workforce, etc.  In addition, we can conduct a competitive analysis of your current pay processes or specific jobs or even design and conduct external pay surveys for your organization.  Our consultants are CCP certified--Certified Compensation Professional.
  •  Benefits Analysis:  We can review your organization's benefits and provide guidance of the competitiveness of your overall program.  In addition, you can use Rotz & Stonesifer to do your benefits negotiations with insurance companies.  By using Rotz & Stonesifer, you could avoid the commissions insurance brokers charge (usually up to 3% of medical plans)--these savings can be very substantial!  Our consultants are CBP certified--Certified Benefits Professional.
  • Union Prevention Assistance:  With the Employee Free Choice Act or "Card Check" looming, employees will be able to unionize workplaces easier in the near future.  Rotz & Stonesifer has partnered with a local law firm and can provide a package of services to prepare your organization with this.  It is recommended that a Union Vulnerability Audit and Assessment be conducted--this would review all your key HR/Safety policies and practices and determine where your organization may have some gaps or areas of vulnerability an organizer could take advantage of.  In addition, other services provided would be training of leadership on Do's and Don'ts in an organization attempt, employee engagement surveys, general leadership training for supervisors.
  • Recruitment:  We can assist your organization with recruitment of key salaried personnel or with hourly staffing.  In addition, we can assist your organization in establishing a complete hiring process that improves your odds of hiring the best candidates for your open positions.
  • Assist with Restructurings/Rightsizings/Organizational Structures:  We can assist your organization with developing organizational structures; rightsizing or modifying the current structure to meet current organizational needs; any down sizings/potential layoffs/permanent separations. 
  • Conduct Investigations:  If you have a situation that requires a thorough investigation, such as a sexual harassment or harassment complaint, a state Human Relations Commission charge/EEOC charge, or an unethical situation--we can conduct or assist your organization with these sensitive situations.
  • Provide Outplacement Services:  We have partnered with a premier web-based outplacement provider.  If your organization is contemplating downsizing situations--from either single executive/key manager to multiple hourly personnel--we have an affordable solution that could meet your needs.
  •  Employee Engagement Surveys-Follow-Up Actions:  Rotz & Stonesifer can help you design an employee engagement survey or employee attitude survey that let's you know what your employees think about various elements of the organization.  It is recommended that all organizations conduct some type of survey at least every 2 years.  What is even more critical is to establish a follow-up process to address some of the main concerns and build on the strengths conveyed.
  • Providing Testing Solutions/360 degree Reviews:  Rotz & Stonesifer has a variety of tests available for pre-employment and 360 degree reviews for managers.  In order to get the best candidates for jobs--testing is strongly recommended.  In order to build stronger management teams--periodic 360 reviews where managers get feedback from their boss, co-workers and subordinates can be very beneficial to give them a realistic view of their strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Training and Development Courses:  One of the specialties of Rotz & Stonesifer is providing training solutions for clients.  Please see the section on training courses available.  In addition to the ones mentioned--other courses could be designed to meet your needs.  We utilize Leadership materials from Vital Learning and Resource Associates--both award winning training and development organizations.  We specialize in Leadership training, a variety of HR-related and legal training, safety/OSHA mandated training, customer service and sales training.
