Rotz & Stonesifer acquires York accounting firmAccounting firm Rotz & Stonesifer PC said Friday it has merged with Butler Gingerich & Co. Inc., a firm based in York.

It is Rotz & Stonesifer’s second recent acquisition. Last month it announced a merger with Darlene M. Kelly, Certified Public Accountant of Chambersburg.

Terms of both deals were not disclosed. Efforts to reach Rotz & Stonesifer were not immediately successful on Friday. Rotz & Stonesifer said in a press release it is keeping Butler Gingerich’s office at 200 E. Market St. in downtown York.

Butler Gingerich, which has been in business for over 40 years, specializes in individual and small-business tax and accounting and business valuations.

“We are thrilled about our merger with Rotz & Stonesifer. Our clients will benefit from Rotz & Stonesifer’s industry expertise and expansive suite of specialty services. We look forward to bringing more value to the local business community,” Leon Butler of Butler Gingerich said in a statement. 

Four certified public accountants and three staff members from Butler Gingerich will join Rotz & Stonesifer.

Rotz & Stonesifer has been in business for three decades. The firm offers auditing, accounting, tax planning, compliance and payroll administration, and wealth management services.

It has offices in Chambersburg, Greencastle and East Berlin.
